  • Authors are kindly invited to submit abstracts on the following topics

    • Mechanical Architecture, Design and Engineering
    • Structural Dynamics and static loads including shock, hypervelocity impact and microvibration
    • Environmental testing and test prediction
    • Structural Materials applications (metallic, composites, ceramics), with a dedicated session addressing design and verification of 3D printed/Additive Manufactured parts
    • Thermo-elastically stable structures
    • Damping concepts
    • Inflatable / deployable structure
    • Stochastic Analysis and robust design approaches
    • In flight experiments and flight data
    • Damage tolerance and fatigue

  • Information regarding abstract submission

    The abstract submission is open online. The Technical Committee invites prospective authors to submit abstracts of papers for presentation at the conference.
    Papers will be selected on the basis of extended abstracts (between 300 and 500 words long), which must clearly indicate major points of interest and innovative characteristics for this conference.

    It should also contain the following information:
    • Title of paper
    • Theme (refer to Aim and scope)
    • Name and affiliation of author(s)
    • Full contact details for the contact authorPreference for oral or poster presentation?

    The selection of the papers will be made on the basis of the following criteria:
    • General interest of the subject
    • Relevance to the subjects covered by the conference
    • Originality of the presented material
    • Clarity of the abstract

    Depending on the type of paper and its contents, the Programme and Technical Committee may allocate it to a poster session rather than an oral presentation.

    Deadline for abstracts
    Abstracts should be submitted on the conference website www.ecssmet2016.com by 12 February 2016 26 February 2016 06 MArch 2016.
    Authors will be notified of the Program Committee’s decision by 20 May 2016. Authors whose papers have been accepted will receive an “author’s kit” containing instructions for the preparation of the paper for inclusion in the conference e-proceedings.
